Easter

As I have grown older my love for Easter and my Savior has grown as well.

The Easter Bunny did find our apartment and let us deliver a few gifts as well this year. ;)

I've always loved waking up on Easter Sunday and finding an Easter basket that the 'Easter Bunny' had made special just for me. It was always filled with candy and little toys and things that just made my heart happy. Every time I would try to act all cool like it wasn't a big deal so I wouldn't seem like a softy. To be honest, it was sort of like waking up on Christmas morning, though (I say "sort of" because I don't think any other holiday quite compares to Christmas for me). It has always been a delightful day in my life. That still hasn't changed.

I have always had a special place in my heart for Easter but, the past few years I have learned to REALLY appreciate and LOVE the true and real meaning behind Easter. I have LIVED off of the atonement in these last couple years. I have thrived off of it. I can't even begin to understand what I would do if I didn't have its power in my life. I don't know all of the details of the crusifiction or the resurrection and I know my brain just doesn't/won't/can't comprehend all that happened. I don't expect or need it to. I already KNOW without a doubt that Jesus Christ died for each and every single one of us. I know he lives for us, too. There is so much in this life that I don't know or that I am not sure of but the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not one of those things. I love my Heavenly Father. I love my brother, Jesus Christ. I love the church that I belong to. There isn't a second of a day that goes by that I am not thankful for it. I am nothing without it, without them.

I think Elder Robert L. Backman says it best when he said, "Every blessing I have in my life, everything I hold dear and precious in my heart, I can trace to my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to my love of the Lord, and to my testimony of his divine gospel". Those words are my EXACT feelings.

So here is to the many years to come that I get to learn and grow with this handsome guy by my side. Here is to the days ahead that I know will be hard and that all we will have is our Savior and His gospel. Here is to the beautiful life and joy I feel every single day because of Him. We really are so blessed.

Angels Landing- Zion

Saturday, March 26, 2016.
[this post is kind of long but just because there are so many pictures]

Talia and I on the drive up!

We got in free. It was spectacular. Our bus ride was so much fun. Both ways. On the way up we played the 'Heads Up' game. If you don't have that app, I highly recommend it. ESPECIALLY if you are waiting in a long line. On the way back we had the funniest driver and we were packed like sardines in there. The driver was telling jokes left and right. It was great.

Colby, Calee, Reid, Taner, Maleena, Gayla, Talia, Me and Marlan
The Crew :)

Taner and I on the bus

The switch backs were definitely the worst part for me. Like burning all over my whole body and legs. My knees wanted to fall off and die.

Reid is a model straight up

Apparently Marlan and Colby are models, too!
Made it to the top, time for a snack!
This was hilarious. These guys made it to the top and took their shirts off just to take pictures. We had no idea who they were so Marlan and Taner decided to man up and join them. That's the one reason I love hiking at National Parks.. you meet so many people on the way and can honestly talk to anyone about anything!
The view is always so so beautiful from the top

We finished! Fun fact: Talia is afraid of heights and she handled the hike like a champ.
 Done with the hike, son!

It was really such a perfect hiking day and so many things worked out in our favor. ZION ROCKS.

March 18-20, 2016

This weekend was Kevens (Taners dad) family reunion in Pine Valley and we got to go. It was so much fun getting to meet/get to know more of Taner's family. We stayed in cabins and it was just an awesome place to be! The weather was mostly perfect. We played basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, crockett, ping pong, pool and board games. We went hiking. We ate a lot. We had delicious ice cream. We talked and just spent quality time together! It was seriously a blast.

Peace out Mesquite

Lane and Tara are having a GIRL. Gonna be an aunt again. :)

I love our eno hammock. Everyone should have one!

Pine Valley is SO beautiful.

Playing catch up

There are SO many stories and pictures that I want to post of the past four months or even past year but it would literally take an EXTREMELY long time to do that so I decided that I am just not going to. I am just going to do a highlight of things that I want to be able to remember.

-We met June 2, 2015
-We got engaged November 2, 2015
-We got married January 2, 2016
-Went on our Honeymoon to Cedar City
-Have been to California, Six Flags, Beach, Ice Skating, Cheesecake Factory, Trampoline places, the Temple and many other super fun places!
-Taner has turned me into a sushi craver (I have always hated it)
-We work out together.
-We have went camping.
-We have went to a lot of family events.
-We went to the polar express.

So many things have happened in the past few months and now I can blog in the now. It has been such a fun and eventful past year. I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

How I Met Your Father

Now this isn't going to be some long nine season series show that ends in dissapointment. This is just the actual story of how Taner and I met...

I remember the night at Bunkers Pond. June 2nd. That's when I saw Taner for the first time. Or so I thought.. It turns out that we have seen each other quite a few times before that. (Taner remembers them pretty well.. I have the worst memory.) It turns out he had seen me quite a few times such as at: splash pad, fishing, the grocery store, dominos and just around town. We had been at the same places at the same time but, I just had no memory of him haha. He sure made a lasting impression.. ;)

Side note: I actually knew of his older sister, Tara, but I thought that she was an only child my whole life.

Back to the real story.. So June 2nd. I went to Bunkers pond for FHE with my friend, Sadie. I had not been back from my mission for that long and I was in a pretty sad state of mind. So we decided we needed adventure. While we were at Bunkers pond swimming our lives away we decided we were gonna go camping at Sandhallow that very night. We invited everyone there and I invited Taner. He said no... several times actually. (He later told me that he thought that I just wanted to makeout with him but I really just wanted people to come camping). Anyways, I would say that I forced him to go. I tricked him by saying that we really needed his truck to get there.. little did he know all of us could have fit in one vehicle.. we brought four vehicles. All of us stayed up talking after a long voyage of finding a camping spot. We had a fire, took pictures, sang, played guitar, ate snacks and talked more.. all night. We had a girl with us who had never been camping and decided that she wanted to pull an all nighter. Her, Taner and I tried to stay up. She successfully did. Taner and I took turns dozing off while she talked and talked. The next day we swam in the lake. It was a really good time! :)I am sure he had a blast... how couldn't he? After all we have hungout almost every single day since. ;) And that really is true.. Up until we were engaged I think we probably spent a total of six days without seeing each other. Every day has been an adventure and I knew it would be from the first day I remember seeing that boy do a backflip off of the board at Bunkers Pond

That's the very short story of how I met Keven Taner Hansen.

Intro

Hey!
We are The Hansen's and we just got married!

Honestly this blogging process is harder than I thought. I mean I love talking and I love writing but typing a blog is something that just doesn't come naturally to me. And as much as I love saying its OUR blog and the whole WE thing its really just going to be my blog with Taner featured in every post because we literally spend all our free time together. In reality Taner thinks blogs are stupid and doesn't understand why anyone would waste their time reading them. I'm the opposite! I love hearing everyones stories and trials and what they think and what they love so I am pretty much here to share ours.

So we are gonna start off by introducing ourselves.
Original, right?

Keven Taner Hansen
He's cute, right? This seriously explains him. He is so weird. Like really weird. He is also kind, caring, hilarious, adventurous, smart, silly, big hearted, loving, strong, stubborn, passionate, athletic, independent, and so many other awesome qualities. I could literally go on for like five pages. He is my best friend. He loves doing things. Anything. He loves being outside, trucks, welding, anything he can ride, going places, trying new things, going to the gym and just any adventure! He also loves his family, friends and our pup. He works at L&M welding and absolutely loves it!

Sasha (Felshaw) Hansen
I am just as weird as my husband.. cool, huh? I hate describing myself. I love the outdoors, doing boy things, pizza, doing family history, trying new things, reading and life in general. I work at Splash Pad, Jadde Sports Amazon and The St.George Temple.

So this is us and we are so in love.

ONE YEAR

How is it that our girl is already one?! Well she turned one like over two weeks ago. I've known and wanted to write this but there ...
