Okay, guys. I have been pregnant for roughly 8 months. Still have two more to go.. does that make sense to you? I thought pregnancy was only 9 months? YEAH, ME TOO. EVERYONE IS A LIAR. Just kidding, kind of.
Week 27
Some other things that have been going on with this pregnancy the last little bit:
-I have been very bad at journaling and picture taking lately. Like important events... weddings, first time temple go-ers, actual fun things that we do and so on. I have seriously turned into a land whale or a bed whale. Either way all I want to do is sleep all day but that isn't gonna happen because apparently I am at the insomnia stage of pregnancy and if I am being honest with myself I will probably be in that stage for the next 25 years or more. Also, mix that with the uncomfortableness of the fact you are only supposed to sleep on your left side. NOT your back. NOT your stomach. NOT your right side. Sleeping on my left side means facing Taner and his nasty morning breath forcing its way into my face. I know you must be thinking.. is sleeping even possible?? Back to what I said earlier.. NO. Oh yeah don't forget about the heavenly minute that you actually do fall asleep and then your body wakes you back up because you need to pee 50 billion times a night. Honestly, at this point I would probably wear a diaper or pee on my husband if my body would let me sleep through it. I am just tired.
- Time has been flying by! The first trimester was by far the worst and the slowest and seemed to last FOREVER but now I just want time to slow down. Like mostly just stop if that is possible. I feel extremely NOT ready. Like no one is ever really ready I don't think (just agree to make me feel good). I am just like really not ready.
- I am at my two week doctor appointments now. It is a love/hate thing. I hate driving to them. I love seeing Guita (my doctor). I hate the time it takes. I love that I get a reassurance so often that baby girl is doing well.
- Kicking/movement. This isn't new. Babe has been kicking for awhile now. She has just discovered my ribs, though. Like what makes kicking your mom in the ribs so fun? I don't know but I am convinced it is her favorite hobby. She also likes to move non-stop. I don't think she is sleeping as much as she should be because I feel her moving literally all day and all night. She is doing some sort of ninja tricks in there right now as I am typing. Maybe she will be a ninja prodigy when she is born. Yo go girl.
-I have had resting leg syndrome almost the entire pregnancy. I started getting it in my first trimester and it has just stuck since then. This trimester it has gotten LOTS worse. I can't sit longer than 30 min anywhere without my legs feeling like I want to chop them off. They are definitely worse at night when I go to lay down. I have tried stretching and yoga and stopped drinking caffeine completely but nothing has helped yet.
-It has been hot. Like really hot. But not really. Like to me it feels pretty alright but my body is like nope. My hands and feet have gotten SO swollen like every day and I know it is from the heat and or being on my feet too much. My wedding ring doesn't fit anymore. It was quite hard to get it off actually. And my feet don't fit in like any of my shoes. That is actually because they have grown during pregnancy, though. A WHOLE FULL SIZE.
- For almost the whole pregnancy Taner and I had agreed that I hadn't been having the typical pregnancy symptoms of changed hormones or craving anything or eating more or things like that which you always hear about. That was until a couple weeks ago. I am an emotional mess and I eat like I haven't ate in days. I always feel like crying so I make myself watch sad movies but something about me: I don't cry. Hardly ever. Only if I am fighting with a family member. So I just make myself more sad and don't even cry. I'm weird. I eat probably 7 times a day and crave everything.
Week 28
Now that I am done with all the negative things. Which really aren't THAT bad. I just want to document stuff more which includes the good AND the bad. I actually really do not writing the bad things because I know so many people that are going through or have gone through infertility problems and it makes me sad and makes me sound super ungrateful but I promise I am not. We are extremely grateful that we are able to be parents and that my pregnancy has went without complications so far.
-We have her crib set up, a diaper bag, baby tub, clothes, and so much stuff for her already. People are SO nice. It makes us feel a little more prepared.
-People check on me all the time. I get asked in person or through text at least 100 times a day how I am doing or how they can help or let me vent to them. I appreciate it tons and tons. Once again people are SO nice.
-We are excited. We think about what she will look like or act like and what she will get from each parent. It is exciting and crazy that we made a human. Like WHAT?! She is gonna be so cool.
-We are pretty sure on a name but absolutely not sure at all at the same time. So when people ask I just say no because really I don't know what we will think when she is born. But, I think thinking of names is so fun! And when she is kicking me lots and I am annoyed then I think of ugly names that could ruin her life. hahahaha joking.
- Baby and I have both been measuring exactly on and she is as healthy as can be so far. Which we really could not ask for more with that.+
-Taner and I are at a good place. Like we really love each other. I am super thankful for our relationship and that we will be able to raise our baby together. We know it will be hard but it is nice knowing that he is always there and he does SOOO much for me. What a guy he is! He has recently been giving me massages, cooking more, playing with my hair, working hard and doing what I want to do all the time.
- We love our baby girl already SO SO SO much.
- My hair is turning brown. My hair has been blonde my entire life. Since I came out of the womb. Pregnancy just changes you, man.
- We have lots of family that are so supportive and do everything for us which is the absolute best!! We love you all.
Week 30
Not too much has changed in our every day lives and we are pretty content. We are happy and very blessed.
Til next time.
