So all that has been on my mind lately is food. Figures because I am pregnant, right? I have found the more pregnant I get the more food I eat or want or crave.
I was thinking the other day if my family is the only ones who eats doritos inside of their tuna fish sandwich? If you haven't tried it, just do! I haven't had one in a long time but that is the only way I will eat that kind of sandwich.
Anyways, since food has been on my brain I wanted to share one of my most favorite recipes and it is SO simple. We even had it for lunch today.
MEXICAN PIZZA
(serves 4 adults)
So the ingredients you will need:
-1 can of refried beans
-cheese
-1 jar of pizza sauce or any kind of sauce that you like
-1 lb. hamburger
-8 tortillas
-oil
*Before starting to make anything else preheat the oven to like 400 or something*
Step one: Cook the hamburger. Just like you normally do.
Step two: Get a pan and pour some olive oil in it wait for about five minutes to warm up then you cook the tortillas on it one at a time. Make sure to cook both sides to make them crispy. Repeat until they are all cooked.
Step three: decide which tortillas match in size and pair them into twos.
Step four: On the bigger tortilla of the pair use that one on the bottom and spread the refried beans on to it.
Step five: Put the meat on top of the beans.
Step six: Put the second tortilla on top of the meat and put whatever sauce that you decided to use on top of the second tortilla.
Step seven: Put heaps of cheese on top of the sauce.
Step eight: BAM! Put those babies into the oven for about ten min or just until the cheese is melted and cooked to your standards. Then take it out and ENJOY.
Step nine: Follow up on the people you cooked for and bug them until you know they loved it. So far mine have been 1/1 recommended. And that was by my husband so who knows how great it was...
